Weekend Escapade: LA LUZ BEACH RESORT
Being known for its beaches and resorts, Batangas is one of the top destinations of tourists and beach goers, well including us. :P
October 18, 2014. Definitely a date to remember as we head on to Laiya, the heart of Batangas beaches, to have our company outing. This was our first choice, however we also consider Baler and Vigan to be our destination. But since we need to get back to Laguna on the same day, we decided to stay with our first choice. :) We have considered different beach resorts in Laiya, and finally we chose La Luz Beach Resort.
It almost took us roughly three hours to get to La Luz Beach, but it's worth it as the scenery is really breath-taking. At the reception area, we were served with welcome drinks, I guess that is buko pandan. :D
Then the staff assisted us to our cottage. In our place, we got an overview of the beach that is definitely relaxing and calming.
Since we were still tired from the long travel, we decided to take pictures first since when we got into the water, we may never capture our water moments as we don't have anyone to take pictures of us. :P

When we changed our clothes, we play with the sand for a while. We even bury one of our staff in the sand, and indeed it was real fun! :D

We didn't swim yet since it's near lunch time. Lunch is served buffet style. Guests were served with Pinakbet (Mixed Vegetables), Grilled Bangus, Chicken Adodo, and Beef Calderata. For dessert, we are given fresh pineapples. :) Since it's buffet style, we can go back as many times as we want. Indeed a food adventure, too. :D
After minutes of rest, we head on to the beach. Though the sand is not as fine as with other famous beaches, it's white and you can never go wrong with the beach water as it is like crystal clear. There are available water sports such as Jet ski, Banana Boating, and Kayaking. We tried kayaking. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take a picture of us enjoying the experience (So saaaaad. -_-). Though I can't swim, I still enjoyed the beach. :)
We stayed in the water for like three hours. Good thing the weather that day is not so hot, so getting sun burns is not a big issue at all. :P we washed to get ready for the afternoon snack. And yeah, it's still buffet style. (Gaaaah, I love this resort. Lots of food. Yey!) We were served with Pansit Canton (Chinese Noodles), Puto (Rice Cake), and Suman (Sweetened Sticky Rice). No wonder all of us have full tummies. :D

We left La Luz Beach by 6:30 PM. Then we ate our dinner at RSM Lutong Bahay. We ate Lechon Kawali (Crispy Fried Pork), Mechado, Ginataang Biya, and Squids. Great dinner we had! :)

That day was tiring, but enjoyable and unforgettable. :) Indeed, we all went home with big smiles on our faces. :)
